1. The spirit of it
Ibile Hub is a place for friendly rivalry. You can compete hard, and you can talk a little trash, but you can't make someone else's night worse on purpose. These guidelines apply to everything: matches, tournaments, messages, profiles, gifts and Stories. They back up our Terms of Service, and where they overlap, the Terms prevail.
2. Treat people well
- Be decent. No harassment, bullying, threats, stalking or encouraging others to do any of it.
- No hate. Don't attack people for their ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, age or similar. Our players come from across Africa and the diaspora, and everyone belongs at the table.
- No sexual content, graphic violence or content that exploits or endangers anyone.
- Don't impersonate other players, staff or public figures.
- Win with grace and lose with grace. Rematch, don't rage.
3. Play fair
- Play as yourself. No bots, scripts, engines, solvers or other software to choose your moves, and no asking someone else to play your turns in ranked or tournament matches.
- One account. Don't open extra accounts to dodge a ban, farm rewards or play yourself.
- No collusion. Don't arrange results, throw matches, or team up against the other players in a game or bracket.
- Don't stall. Leaving a ranked match you are losing to avoid a result, or running out the clock repeatedly, is abuse.
- Don't exploit. If you find a bug that gives an unfair edge or free rewards, report it rather than using it.
- Don't hack the game. No modified apps, no changing game files, and no attacks on Ibile's own systems.
The result is final once a match ends, and we review matches that look wrong. Results that came from cheating can be cancelled and rewards taken back.
4. Names, avatars and messages
- Display names, usernames and avatars must follow the rules above. Nothing offensive, misleading, sexual, or someone else's identity or brand.
- Only friends can message you. Use messages to talk about the game and to arrange games, not to harass, spam or sell.
- Don't share anyone's private information, including yours when it puts you at risk. Don't ask other players for money, account access or sign-in codes.
- Messages pass through automated filters and may be reviewed if they are reported.
5. Coins, Cowries and gifting
- Coins and Cowries are for use inside Ibile Hub only. Don't buy, sell or trade them, items or accounts for money or anything else, and don't offer to.
- Gifting Cowries to friends is for kindness, not for trading. Don't use gifts to move value between accounts you control, or to pay for anything outside the app.
- Don't abuse referrals, missions, streaks or the Season Pass, for example with fake accounts.
- Use only your own payment methods. Using someone else's card or account without permission is fraud, and we will report it.
6. Stories
- Chapters are made by their creators, and they are protected by copyright. Read them, enjoy them, react to them, but don't copy, scrape, redistribute or share pages outside the app. Share a series by sharing its link instead.
- Don't post spoilers where others don't expect them, and don't reveal the answers to secret-chapter puzzles in a way that spoils them for others.
- Reactions are for the chapter. Use them to say what you thought, not to target the creators or other readers.
- Respect age ratings and content warnings. Some content is hidden unless you opt in.
7. Staying safe
- We will never ask for your sign-in code. Anyone who does is trying to take your account.
- Be careful with links, offers and “free Coins” from strangers. Anything that asks you to pay or sign in somewhere other than Ibile Hub or its payment providers is a scam.
- If you feel play is taking over, use the limits and breaks in Settings. See Responsible play.
- If someone threatens you, or you think someone is in danger, contact your local emergency services first, then tell us.
8. Reporting and blocking
- In the app, you can report a player from their profile or from a match, and block them. Blocked players can't message you or send you gifts.
- Anything else, including problems on the web or with Stories, email [email protected] with what happened, who was involved (their username) and, if you can, a screenshot or the time of the match.
- Please report in good faith. Using reports to harass someone is itself a breach of these guidelines.
9. What happens when someone breaks the rules
We look at what happened and respond in proportion. Depending on how serious it is and whether it has happened before, we may:
- warn the player, or remove a name, avatar or message;
- restrict messaging, friend requests, gifting, matchmaking or tournament entry for a while;
- cancel results, reset ratings and reverse rewards, Cowries, Coins or items obtained unfairly;
- suspend the account for a period; or
- close the account, and where it is closed for serious or repeated breaches, take away what is on it (it is lost, not refunded).
Serious cases, such as threats, fraud, exploitation or anything involving the safety of others, can go straight to the last steps, and we may involve the authorities. Where we can, we tell you what we've done and why.
10. If you think we got it wrong
We can make mistakes. Email [email protected] from your sign-in address, say what happened and why you think it was wrong, and a person will review it. If we got it wrong, we will put it right and restore what we removed.
